132kV Composite Bushing Outdoor Termination – Silicone Rubber High Voltage Cable Termination for Overhead Lines & Substations | Models 4E‑YJZWCF3 / 4E‑YJZWCF4
132kV composite bushing outdoor termination with silicone rubber housing and epoxy fiberglass core. Oil-filled design for enhanced dielectric strength. Ideal for polluted, humid, and harsh environments. Models 4E‑YJZWCF3 & 4E‑YJZWCF4. Class III/IV pollution resistance.
The 132kV composite bushing outdoor termination is a high-voltage cable termination specifically designed for outdoor applications, including overhead power lines, substation connections, and transition points between underground cables and overhead lines. It combines advanced composite polymer materials with proven insulating technologies to deliver superior performance in polluted, humid, or otherwise harsh environments.
This termination is available in two models: 4E‑YJZWCF3 and 4E‑YJZWCF4, each optimized for different installation and performance requirements. Both models feature a robust composite construction that ensures long-term reliability, reduced maintenance, and enhanced safety for 132kV power networks.
Silicone Rubber Housing – Provides excellent UV resistance, high hydrophobicity, and superior anti-pollution performance. Suitable for Class III and Class IV pollution levels as defined by IEC 60815.
Epoxy Fiberglass Core – Offers high mechanical strength and outstanding electrical insulation properties, ensuring stable operation under mechanical stress and thermal cycling.
Oil-Filled Design – Certain models incorporate insulating oil inside the bushing to enhance dielectric strength, improve partial discharge performance, and provide better heat dissipation.
Designed to withstand extreme weather conditions including heavy rain, salt fog, ice, and high humidity.
Silicone rubber housing repels water and prevents the formation of continuous conductive water films, reducing leakage currents and preventing flashovers.
Excellent resistance to UV radiation, ozone, and chemical pollutants.
Rated voltage: 132kV (suitable for 110kV–145kV systems as well)
Withstands lightning impulse voltage and power frequency overvoltage per IEC 60137.
Low partial discharge level ensures long service life and grid reliability.
Lightweight composite construction simplifies handling and reduces the need for heavy lifting equipment.
Factory-assembled and tested – ready for field installation with minimal tooling.
Maintenance-free operation over decades, eliminating the need for periodic cleaning or painting.
Designed and tested according to IEC 60137 (Insulated bushings for alternating voltages above 1000V)
Meets IEC 60815 (Selection and dimensioning of high-voltage insulators for polluted conditions)
Compliant with IEEE 48 (Standard for Test Procedures and Requirements for Alternating-Current Cable Terminations)

Stress Cone: Made from imported liquid silicone rubber (LSR), ensuring uniform electric field distribution and long-term elasticity.
Multiple Sealing System: Prevents moisture ingress & oil leakage using NBR/silicone seals.
Stainless Steel Fasteners: Corrosion-resistant hardware for durability.
✔ Lighter weight (easier installation, reduced structural load).
✔ Superior pollution resistance (self-cleaning hydrophobic surface).
✔ No risk of explosive failure (unlike porcelain, which can shatter).
✔ Better mechanical strength (impact-resistant polymer structure).
| Feature | Composite Bushing | Porcelain Bushing |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | <20% of porcelain | Heavy, fragile |
| Explosion Risk | None (flexible silicone) | High (shatters violently) |
| Creepage Distance | 25mm/kV (Level III) | 17mm/kV (Level I) |
| Maintenance | Self-cleaning, no washing | Annual cleaning required |
| Lifespan | 30+ years (aging-resistant) | 15–20 years (prone to cracks) |
High-voltage cable terminations (e.g., 10kV–220kV systems).
Overhead line connections in coastal, industrial, or high-pollution areas.
Substations & transformers where compact, maintenance-free designs are preferred.
Voltage Class: Confirm whether your models are for medium voltage (e.g., 35kV) or high voltage (110kV+).
Standards Compliance: Should meet IEC 60840, IEEE 386, or GB/T 12706.
Leakage Distance: Longer creepage for heavy pollution areas.
